THE PILOT SUITE 2020

In 2020, I revisited using International Marine Signal Flags (the International Code of Signals or ICS), as counterpoints to the visual dynamics, and as an entrance portal to the work. Each flag represents a letter in the alphabet, and also has a standard and specific meaning that expands the abstracted notion and narrative of a dramatic event or encounter that is illusive yet somewhat familiar.
